Pillow

That everything I know and love will have an inevitable end.
I know what it’s like to feel things intensely, and even if it 
comes at cost of my sanity, I made myself take an oath
An oath to make sure nobody else feels rejected at my hands, 

so, what i do is
disassociate
Absorb
intellectualize
feel our struggle

they rest their heads
and i become
an active sponge for them 

their foes, their pains, their insanity, 
and with that oath
I have inevitably due to my empathy
become 
a pillow

for people to hug, 
with each hug I shrink in size.
